Ledgium
This policy explains what information the Ledgium app and its widgets (together, “Ledgium”) handle, and the choices you have. Ledgium is made by Tristar Dynamics LLC (“Tristar Dynamics,” “we,” or “us”). If you have questions, write to us at [email protected].
Everything you enter in Ledgium stays on your device: paychecks and pay schedules, buckets and splits, bills, other income, transactions, accounts and cards, debts, categories, shared expenses, and settings. There’s no Ledgium account and no Ledgium server, so Tristar Dynamics can’t see, access, or recover any of it.
Ledgium doesn’t connect to your bank or card issuer, and it never asks for your sign-in details or account numbers. It only knows what you type in or import.
If you’re signed in to iCloud and iCloud is on for Ledgium, your data syncs between your devices through your private iCloud database. That database belongs to your Apple Account. Apple stores it under the Apple Privacy Policy, and Tristar Dynamics can’t read it.
You can turn iCloud off for Ledgium in the iCloud section of the Settings app. Ledgium then keeps working with the data on that device.
Apple handles payment for Ledgium Pro through the App Store. We never receive your payment details, and Apple doesn’t give us your name or email address.
To confirm whether Pro is active on your devices, Ledgium uses RevenueCat, Inc., a subscription service that processes this information for us. Whenever Ledgium checks Pro (for example, when it opens) or you buy or restore Pro, RevenueCat receives:
We use this information to unlock Pro, restore purchases, keep accurate purchase records, and see how Ledgium Pro is doing overall, such as how many people start a free trial or subscribe. RevenueCat never receives your name, email address, or budget. You can read its privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
When you turn on the lock, Ledgium asks iOS to confirm it’s you with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. iOS does the check. Your face and fingerprint data never leave the secure hardware on your device, and Ledgium never sees them.
Reminders are planned and scheduled on your device from your own budget. They don’t pass through any Tristar Dynamics server. Depending on your notification settings, they can show bill names and amounts on your Lock Screen. Widgets read a short summary that Ledgium saves on your device, in storage shared only with its own widgets.
When you import a spreadsheet or export a CSV file, the file goes only where you choose, such as the Files app or another app you share it with. We don’t receive it.
If you choose to share analytics with app developers (in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements), Apple may send us crash reports and app usage statistics that don’t identify you. We use them only to find and fix problems. You can turn this off at any time.
If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include. We use it only to answer you, and we keep it only as long as we need to for that.
Your budget. You’re in control of it. Delete a bill, transaction, or category in Ledgium and it’s removed everywhere your data syncs. To remove everything, delete Ledgium from each of your devices, then delete Ledgium’s data from iCloud in Settings › Apple Account › iCloud › Manage Storage.
Purchase records. RevenueCat keeps them while they’re needed to provide Pro, and afterwards as long as needed for accounting, tax, and other legal obligations. You can ask us to delete them. Because we don’t know who you are, we may ask for details from your App Store receipt, such as the order ID, to find them.
Ledgium is meant for a general audience and isn’t directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age where they live. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Depending on where you live, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, California, and other U.S. states, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict how we use it, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. Because your budget never reaches us, a request can only cover the purchase records in section 4 and any emails you’ve sent us.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We’ll answer within the time the law requires, and we may ask for details to confirm the request is yours. Where the law allows, an authorized agent can make a request for you.
Tristar Dynamics is the controller of the information in sections 4 and 10. We use purchase information to provide the Pro features you’ve bought (performance of a contract), to keep accurate records, prevent fraud, and understand how Ledgium Pro is doing overall (our legitimate interests), and to meet accounting and tax rules (legal obligations). We use your emails to answer you (our legitimate interests). You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
In the past 12 months, we’ve collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (the anonymous IDs and IP address in section 4, and your email address if you write to us); commercial information (your Ledgium purchase history); and internet or other electronic network activity information (the technical details in section 4). They came from your device and the App Store, were used only for the purposes in sections 4 and 10, and were disclosed only to service providers that help us run Ledgium, such as RevenueCat and our email provider. We don’t sell or share personal information, as the California Consumer Privacy Act defines those terms, and we don’t use or disclose sensitive personal information.
Your data on your device is protected by the data protection built into iOS, and Apple encrypts iCloud data in transit and on its servers. For more privacy on a shared device, you can turn on Ledgium’s Face ID lock. No way of storing or sending information is completely secure, but we keep what we handle to a minimum.
Tristar Dynamics and RevenueCat are based in the United States, so the information in section 4 is processed there, wherever you use Ledgium.
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we’ll also point it out in the app or in Ledgium’s App Store release notes.
